Frequently Asked Questions
How do MosesTab fees compare?
MosesTab uses Stripe at standard rates (2.9% + 30¢ cards, 0.8% capped ACH) plus a 1% MosesTab platform fee — about 3.9% + 30¢ all-in on cards. SecureGive's legacy processor pricing varies and is often opaque, with fees that can run 3.0-3.5%+ depending on the contract. Beyond raw rates, MosesTab includes full ChMS in the subscription where SecureGive is giving-only — so the consolidated cost picture often favors MosesTab even where headline transaction fees are similar.
Will recurring donors need to re-authorize?
Yes. PCI compliance prevents transferring stored card numbers between platforms. A clear email explaining the switch typically moves 80%+ of recurring donors within two weeks.
Can we keep using SecureGive's church kiosks?
MosesTab supports kiosk and tablet giving via the standard web giving page. Existing SecureGive hardware may need replacing depending on the model — most churches use a generic tablet running the MosesTab giving page in kiosk mode.
