Frequently Asked Questions
Should I fully replace Aplos or run both?
If your treasurer prepares board-level financial statements with formal fund accounting, keep Aplos for accounting and use MosesTab for member/event/giving operations. If your finance needs are simpler — track giving, generate statements, basic reporting — MosesTab can fully replace Aplos.
Will giving statements be accurate?
Yes. Imported giving history shows on donor records and includes amount, date, and fund. Year-end statements include both pre-switch (imported from Aplos) and post-switch (native MosesTab) contributions.
Can MosesTab handle restricted vs unrestricted funds?
MosesTab supports designated giving categories which work like restricted funds for most churches. It does not replicate Aplos' formal restricted/unrestricted fund balances at the GL level — that's the typical reason to keep Aplos for accounting alongside MosesTab.
